Fitsok is excited to tell the stories of runners across the country and how they RUN FOR IT every day.
I live in Star, Idaho and was born in Walnut Creek, California.
In elementary school I always looked forward to the annual Dream Mile. This race was held in the spring and my times earned me a spot in the fastest heat since 2nd grade. I was pretty proud of myself running against 5th graders and boys. I always looked forward to it and I participated in it every year until I started middle school. Then I started cross country and track and haven’t stopped since.
For me, the farther, the better. I would have to say my favorite distances right now are anywhere from 5k-10k. I tried the Zeitgiest half marathon when I was in 8th grade and enjoyed it too.
I run because I love it; I feel strong and good about myself. I motivate myself to run. No one has to tell me to run…I just do it. It’s my love for the sport that keeps me so committed and determined. Setting new personal records, working hard and seeing results, getting new running gadgets and clothing, and learning new running techniques all add to my eagerness. My coaches, teammates, parents, brothers, and friends encourage me to get better and be faster. Even my competitors encourage me and often feel like they are my own teammates. I run because I love hanging out with my team and other inspiring opponents and runners. I also run for the free t-shirts and food at the end! I run because I am competitive and I enjoy achieving my goals.
Well, for a good hill run I’d send them to Camels Back Park. The trails go on for miles weaving in out of the hills. If someone prefers to run a flat path, I’d recommend the Greenbelt. It also goes on for miles, starting in Eagle and stretching to Lucky Peak.
Not only is Fitsok comfortable but after all my runs I’ve been on they haven’t even started to thin! Also through the cold winter season they’re the only sock that will keep my feet warm!
